Meet Our Family and Hear Our Story
What started as just an idea back in 2021 and quickly turned into a fun, small hobby in 2022 became an annual tradition in our family that we have loved sharing with others.
As soon as the weather is just right, we tap our trees and set our sap lines, roll out our 50 gallon aluminum collection drums in the woods, chop firewood and collect it for the evaporator (collecting the wood is the boys’ favorite thing to do with their PowerWheels tractor), and spend days-on-end boiling the sap, filtering, bottling, and labeling the sweet, pure maple syrup from our Indiana trees.
Each year we try to add a new piece of equipment or learn a new technique, which has helped us continue to grow. In the future, we hope to upgrade our evaporator to a much larger one and build a sugar shack on the farm, where we can consolidate all of our equipment and syrup making steps into one location.
